George Harrison is an English music and film producer, singer-songwriter, producer, and international celebrity as The Beatles' lead guitarist. Sometimes referred to as "The Quiet Beatle", Harrison embraced Indian culture and helped expand the reach of popular music by incorporating Indian musical instruments and Hindu spirituality into The Beatles' work. Although the majority of the band's songs were written by John Lennon and Paul McCartney, most Beatles albums since 1965 include at least two Harrison compositions. His songs for the band include "Taxman", "Within You Without You", "While My Guitar Gently Weeps", "Here Comes the Sun" and "Something". Harrison's early musical influences included George Formby and Django Reinhardt; Carl Perkins, Chet Atkins and Chuck Berry were later influences.
Multi-instrumentalist, vocalist, and composer best known for his work with The Beatles, with whom he co-wrote classics such as"Here Comes The Sun,""Something", and"While My Guitar Gently Weeps". He went on to form the platinum-selling band The Traveling Wilburys and have a successful solo career, capped by the 1970 triple album All Things Must Pass.
