Jesse Ventura is a retired American politician, actor, TV presenter, political commentator, author and professional wrestler. After gaining fame in the World Wrestling Federation, he served as Minnesota's 38th Governor from 1999 to 2003. He was elected governor as a candidate for the Reform Party and as a candidate. The party's lone candidate won an important government office. Ventura was a member of the United States Navy's Underwater Demolition Team during the Vietnam War. After leaving the military, he embarked on a professional wrestling career from 1975 to 1986, taking the stage name "Jesse 'The Body' Ventura". He spent a long time in WWF / WWE as a black performer and commentator and was inducted into the 2004 WWE Hall of Fame. In addition to wrestling, Ventura pursued an acting career, appearing in films like Predator and The Running Man. Ventura first joined politics in 1991 when he was elected mayor of Brooklyn Park, Minnesota, a position he held until 1995.
